Savart – The Art of Romanian Cuisine with a French Accent in the Heart of Bucharest

Savart welcomes you to one of the most emblematic villas in central Bucharest — a heritage house with diverse architectural influences, once the residence of Ceaușescu’s children, Zoe and Nicușor. Located near the Romanian Athenaeum, on a quiet street just off Calea Victoriei, Savart offers a distinct experience across its three unique spaces.

• Savart Garden is a green oasis of serenity, perfect for escaping the city’s pace while still remaining in the heart of Bucharest.
• Savart Rooftop is the preferred spot for private events and social evenings; on select weekend nights, the atmosphere comes alive with live DJ sessions, creating a relaxed setting for friends and family. The rooftop is heated and fully equipped to ensure comfort throughout all seasons.
• The indoor dining area is cozy and elegant, decorated with contemporary art pieces and occasionally enlivened by live piano evenings — a warm retreat during the colder months.

Our Culinary Philosophy

At the heart of Savart’s cuisine lies Romanian tradition, reinterpreted through refined techniques and subtle French accents. Every dish transforms local ingredients into modern creations that are balanced, expressive, and full of personality.

The menu features dishes such as foie gras terrine with Buzău red onion jam, beef tartare with Fetească Neagră wine reduction, beef tenderloin with Café de Paris sauce and parmesan polenta, confit goose leg with braised red cabbage, confit octopus with roasted garlic foam, and crispy vegetable parcels with smoked eggplant cream.
Desserts complete the experience with poetic reinterpretations that preserve the emotion of authentic flavor.

Savart is about elegance, identity, and storytelling — a place where Romanian gastronomy gains a contemporary expression enriched by the sensitivity and finesse of French culinary art.
